  • Medium Roast – Our most popular range. Rich, balanced, and approachable. Includes our Velvet House Reserve, single-origins, and all flavored coffees.
  • Medium-Dark Roast – Bold, full-bodied, with a hint of roast character. Try Cowboy Reserve or Honduras Marcala.
  • Dark & Extra Dark Roast – Deep, smoky, and intense. Perfect for espresso drinks or those who love a powerful cup. See our Velvet Blackout Italian Roast and Six Bean Global Reserve.

What grind options are available?

We offer multiple grind options so your coffee is ready to brew right out of the bag:

  • Whole Bean – Maximum freshness; grind just before brewing.
  • Drip (Medium Grind) – Ideal for drip coffee makers and pour-over.
  • Espresso (Fine Grind) – Designed for espresso machines and Moka pots.
  • Coarse Grind – Perfect for French press and cold brew.
  • Single-Serve Pods – K-Cup compatible capsules for quick, no-fuss brewing. Available in 12-count and 60-count.
  • Instant & Functional Powder – Ready in seconds; includes our specialty mushroom blends.

Which roast works best for espresso?

Traditionally, espresso shines with medium-dark to extra-dark roasts try our African Espresso Reserve, Italian Espresso Roast, or Velvet Blonde Espresso Blend if you prefer a lighter, fruit-forward shot. Pair any of these with an espresso grind for best results.

Brewing & Freshness

What's the best brewing method for each roast?

  • Light & Light-Medium Roasts – Pour-over or drip brewing highlights delicate floral and fruity notes.
  • Medium Roasts – Versatile across drip, pour-over, French press, and espresso. Our flavored coffees especially shine in a standard drip maker.
  • Medium-Dark & Dark Roasts – French press, espresso, or cold brew bring out the boldness without bitterness.
  • Cold Brew – Use a coarse grind and steep in cold water for 12–24 hours. Our Velvet Chill Brew and Velvet Cold Brew Noir are crafted specifically for this method.

How fresh is your coffee when it ships?

We small-batch roast our coffees with careful attention to timing and consistency. Your order ships after roasting so you receive coffee at peak freshness not coffee that's been sitting in a warehouse for months. MORE THAN COFFEE. IT'S A MOMENT and fresh beans make all the difference.

How long do roasted beans stay fresh?

  • Whole Bean – Best within 2–4 weeks of roast date when stored in an airtight container away from light and heat. Can last up to 1 month.
  • Ground Coffee – Best within 1–2 weeks of opening. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
  • Single-Serve Pods – Sealed for extended freshness; check the best-by date on packaging.

Pro tip: Never store coffee in the refrigerator or freezer unless it's vacuum-sealed and won't be opened again moisture is coffee's enemy.

What are your specialty and functional coffees?

We offer two mushroom-infused coffee lines for those who want more from their cup:

  • Velvet Balance Brew – A medium roast with Reishi mushroom for calm, balanced energy.
  • Velvet Mind Reserve – A dark roast with Lion's Mane and Cordyceps for focus and drive.

We also carry high-caffeine Max Caf power blends and a barrel-aged Guatemala Bourbon Barrel Reserve for adventurous coffee drinkers.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does shipping take?

We aim to get your fresh-roasted coffee to you as quickly as possible. Typical timelines:

  • Processing time: 1–3 business days (your order is roasted and packed with care).
  • Standard shipping: 3–7 business days after shipment.
  • Expedited shipping: Available at checkout for faster delivery.

You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes! Check our current promotions at checkout we periodically offer free shipping thresholds and special deals. Subscribe to our email list so you never miss an offer.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship within the United States. International shipping availability may vary please contact us for inquiries.

Do you offer a subscription option?

Yes! Our Subscribe & Save option lets you set your preferred coffee, grind, and delivery frequency so you never run out of your favorite blend. Subscribers enjoy savings on every order and the convenience of automatic delivery.

Can I change or pause my subscription?

Absolutely. You can update your coffee selection, grind, quantity, or delivery frequency at any time through your account. Need to pause or cancel? Just log in to your account or reach out to us and we'll take care of it.

What if I want to try a different blend on my subscription?

Returns & Satisfaction

What if I'm not happy with my order?

Your satisfaction is everything to us. If something isn't right wrong item, damaged in transit, or the coffee just didn't hit the mark please contact us within 30 days of delivery and we'll make it right.

Do you accept returns on opened coffee?

Because coffee is a perishable product, we're unable to accept returns on opened bags. However, if you're unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please reach out. We're committed to making sure every cup of Velvet Pour Co. coffee is one you love.

What if my order arrived damaged?

We're so sorry if that happened! Please contact us with a photo of the damaged item and your order number, and we'll contact you with the next steps in replacing the product.
